Brandy Schrenker is a Registered Dietitian & Brenda Workman is a Food for Life Instructor. Both Brandy & Brenda promote plant-based eating & provide help to make this lifestyle doable. Brandy, through Integrated Health Concepts, helps patients with customized menu planning, and consultations.

June 15, 2024- Plant-Based Eating 101 (11 AM - 12:30PM)
Are you curious about plant-based eating and want to learn more? Have you explored it in the past, but need to revisit it? Are you ready to make dietary changes for the benefit of your health? This class will be all about plant-based eating basics with information from the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine. Practically, how to you make this way of eating a lifestyle? A cooking demo and sampling will be included in this class. Resources and recipes will be provided to each participant.

July 27, 2024- Plant-Based Soups (11AM - 12:30PM)
As fall draws near, soups are so comforting and delicious. They can also be nutritious and beneficial to our health. Brenda will be cooking up some delicious plant-based soup recipes in this class, which will include a cooking demonstration and sampling. Recipes and resources will be distributed to each participant.

September 17, 2024- Let’s Beat Breast Cancer (5:30 - 7PM)
Half a century ago, the United States declared a “war on cancer,” yet current statistics predict that during our lifetime, one in eight women will develop breast cancer. Research has shown that more than one-third of all cancer deaths in the United States are due to poor diet, yet most are unaware of the connection. Faced with these startling statistics, the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine developed the Food for Life: Let’s Beat Breast Cancer curriculum based on our groundbreaking Cancer Project curriculum. This two-hour class features a video, discussion, and the opportunity to taste plant-based dishes, following a cooking demonstration. Recipes and resources will be distributed to each participant.

October 19, 2024- Plant-Based Sweets and Treats (11AM - 12:30PM)
Most people love sweets and treats, but we want to eat what is beneficial to our bodies too. In this class, Brenda will be making some plant-based sweets and treats that you don’t need to feel guilty about enjoying. Cooking demonstration and sampling are included. Recipes and resources will be distributed to participants.

November 16, 2024- Plant-Based Holiday Recipes (11AM - 12:30PM)
Wouldn’t it be great to enjoy the holidays while also enjoying healthy foods? Would it be great to make it through the holidays feeling good and not packing on the pounds? This class will cover some delicious plant-based holiday foods you can make for yourself and your family. Cooking demonstration and sampling are included. Recipes and resources will be distributed to all participants.
